Friday Update: 4 November 2022
Editorial
Over the past three weeks we’ve been lucky enough to have some very rare sceattas sent into the website. That trend continued this week with two more great finds. There’s also a very rare penny of Offa which is in good Fine condition but would benefit from some expert cleaning.
We’ve also had a Charles I coin come in from Bill Wiggins. He was given it in 1965 by workmen who had found it on a building site. He tells me that it sparked a lifelong interest in coins. If you have something in your collection that has a story attached to it, please do get in touch.
In PAS finds there’s a Kosher food seal which is a relatively rare find on the database, particularly in an intact condition. There’s also a scabbarb chape with a scene of a man with a lion.
