Friday Update: 30 September 2022
Editorial
All detectorists would love to find a hammered gold coin. Perhaps a better detector would do the trick or a new permission. Or, like Andrew Coates you might just spot one on the surface in your own garden. The number of finds being sent in has increased again this week to twelve which suggests that more of you are getting out detecting. Many thanks to all those who have sent their finds in.
We’ve the results from two auctions held by Noonans this week where some detecting finds did well. Both auctions suggest that the coin market is still strong.
PAS finds has a curious looking mourning ring and a Viking stirrup mount that was recently sold at auction.
