Friday Update: 23 September 2022
When detectorist Mick Edwards unearthed a gold 10 Cruzados this July he says “I was dumbstruck and just sat looking at the coin unable even to breathe“. He might then wondered how much it was worth. His next thought should then have been “I wonder what the wife will spend it on” as apparently she has compiled a list. Mrs Edwards will soon know how much is in the budget as the coin is up for auction at Noonans sale next week, with an estimate of £20,000 – £30,000.
Another great range of finds sent in by readers this week ranging from Roman, Anglo-Saxon, Medieval right through to Victoria. PAS finds has a gold spacer similar to those on the famous Desborough necklace.
