It’s one of those weeks when we have an exceptional coin coin come in – a Watford type penny of Stephen with a rare moneyer in much better condition than most detecting finds from his reign. Another rare find in the PAS review; a continental sterling issued by Enguerrand of Créqui as Bishop of Cambrai. Only the second of its type on the database.
In Noonans auction on 12 September are several recent detecting finds, including six gold rings.
