Sixpence of Elizabeth I
This is the last item from the group of coins that came in from Mark Drewitt to be identified and valued.
It’s a sixpence of Elizabeth I. The coin is dated 1584 on the reverse and on both sides the mint mark is a scallop shell. It was struck during the sixth issue, which commenced in 1582 and ended in 1600.

Valuation
1584 isn’t a rare date but this sixpence looks as if it would grade Fine so to a collector it should be worth around £50.    Â
