This week we passed 1,000 followers on Facebook. Many thanks to all of you who continue to support and contribute to this website.

Plenty of gold this week, including three readers’ finds. The quarter noble of Henry IV may be only the second known specimen of its type. And, in auction news, Timeline have four gold detecting finds amongst the lots.

In PAS finds we have the story of Decimus Clodius Albinus, who rose to prominence after Commodus was strangled in his bath.
