Editorial
All detectorists dream of that big find and this week we have the story of just how that feels with Rob Turrell’s account of his feelings after unearthing a gold aureus of Claudius. There’s another example in PAS Finds where you might well say “My, my, this is a really great find. I wish I’d dug it up!” It’s a silver presentation piece of James I farthing. Not only is it of National Importance numismatically but there’s a curious back story as to how it got its nickname.
We have seven readers’ finds including a groat of Mary Tudor which is in very good condition for a detecting find.
