It’s one of those rare occasions where silver beats gold; two great readers’ finds this week – a silver groat of Edward IV (or Edward V or Richard III) and a gold half noble of Richard II.

The DCMS released some stats which showed that 2022 set a new record for Treasure finds, with detectorists making 96% of these important discoveries.

In PAS finds is a fairly ordinary gold posy ring with an unusual inscription. Is there any link to Robert Boyle, the famous scientist, and the plague?

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport issued it’s annual statistics for Treasure finds this week and 2022 saw another new record.
