Friday Update: Good Friday 2022
Editorial
A good variety of readers finds in this week, including a cannon ball, papal bulla and a tiny Anglo-Saxon mount.
For the bank holiday weekend, there is a longer read on the life and coinage of King Stephen – the last Norman king.
There are the results of Dix Noonan Webb’s auction of the collection of a “Suffolk Detectorist”. From the end of April, the auctioneers are shortening their name to Noonans. They chose this name from the three as they considered it better than the other two for searching on the internet.
Appropriately in PAS finds is a crucifix, one of a few Finds of Note this week.
With the weather looking good this bank holiday weekend, I hope many of you will be able to get out detecting. Remember to send in any finds of interest to the website.
