Readers finds this week includes four groats, two from Edward III, a Henry VI and the best of the lot from Henry VIII. There’s also a rare penny of Charles I, an Anglo-Saxon sceatta and a Gallo-Belgic quarter stater.

In PAS finds, there’s a seal matrix of the Priory of Mottisfort and a flintlock. Plus, there’s the results of Hanson’s auction that concluded today.

Henry VIII groat of York

I sometimes see a coin that I would have loved to unearth. It wouldn’t necessarily be a rarity but it would have great eye appeal. Here is one such coin.

Charles I penny

This is a decent example of a rare penny from the mint situated in Oxford during the early phase of the English Civil War.
