Readers finds this week include significantly rare varieties of an Edward III quarter noble and a Henry II penny.

In auction news, there is a recent detecting find of a very rare Edward the Elder halfpenny being sold. In other news, the Treasure Registrars thank a detectorist for donating his treasure find to the local museum.

In the PAS review, there is a figurine of Priapus who was the god of gardens and vegetable plots.

Edward III quarter noble

This variety, with nothing over the shield on the obverse is a significant rarity

Runner Up

Henry II penny

Besides being a very rare, this find is in well above average condition.
