One of the most significant detecting finds of last year is to go on public display as York Museum has acquired the Ryedale Bronzes.

Readers have sent in some exceptional finds this week; an extremely rare William I penny, a delightful gold stater and a probably unique item which caused the finder’s heart to “skip a beat”.
