On Thursday Hansons sold a coin that a reader sent in for valuation. Always interesting to see what a coin that I have valued actually makes. In the same auction an unusual gold ring, which was a detecting find from 2017, sells for £20,000.

Readers finds this week include a rare Alexander III penny and a Roman brooch in the form of a fly. In PAS finds there is a Tail Waggers dog medallion – I manage to track down the probable owner. Also, reader Mark Holloway helps identify a mystery find from October.
