Last week I reported on a reader’s denarius of Carausius being sold at auction for £6,000. This week another one came in for identification and it is a particularly interesting coin as it exhibits various anomalies in its legend.
In the PAS finds, there is a puzzle ring and some Finds of Note including a Viking weight. The PAS announced this week that it had recorded its one millionth discovery and acknowledged the important contribution made by detectorists.
And with Christmas coming up, I have written a Christmas message to all my readers – I hope you get a chance to read it.
