Voided short cross penny of Henry II

After undergoing a long course of chemotherapy Mike Ruczynski managed to get out with his brother for a couple of hours detecting. It must have been really nice to be on the fields again after a long layoff.

Mike might have had to take it easy during his two hour detecting session but he still managed to unearth a decent hammered silver coin. The find is a voided short cross penny of Henry II. It belongs to class Ib and the legend on the reverse reads +RAVL ON LVND, so Raul is the moneyer and London the mint.

Valuation

This Henry II penny is weak in places but still good enough to grade about Fine, so my price range would be £35 to £40.
