Voided short cross penny of Henry II
After undergoing a long course of chemotherapy Mike Ruczynski managed to get out with his brother for a couple of hours detecting. It must have been really nice to be on the fields again after a long layoff.
Mike might have had to take it easy during his two hour detecting session but he still managed to unearth a decent hammered silver coin. The find is a voided short cross penny of Henry II. It belongs to class Ib and the legend on the reverse reads +RAVL ON LVND, so Raul is the moneyer and London the mint.  Â
Valuation
This Henry II penny is weak in places but still good enough to grade about Fine, so my price range would be £35 to £40.
