Sixpence of Elizabeth I

This find came in from Steve Bartlett, who asked for a full ID and for a valuation figure.

The find is a sixpence of Elizabeth I, which is dated 1590 on the reverse and has mint mark hand on both sides. It is an example of the sixth issue (1582-1600) and is listed in the Standard Catalogue as number 2578B.

Valuation

1590 isn’t a rare date but neither is it as common as some of the earlier dates found on Elizabeth I sixpences. The obverse would grade Fair with scratches, the reverse Fine so I would price it at £25 to £30
