Coins at the time of Henry VI bore no date. The various issues of Henry VI had privy marks that serve to classify them and place them within a date range, as shown below. Here is an example, together with the various privy marks found on Henry VI coins. Additional pellets appear in some issues, next to the king’s head and in the angles of the reverse.
