Farthing of Edward I
Robert Knight had already identified this hammered silver coin as a farthing of Edward I, so the diameter will be 11-12mm.
On the obverse the legend reads +EDWARDVS REX AN, so this is an example of class 10. On the reverse we have CIVI TAS LON DON, so the mint is London.   Â
Valuation
The coin would grade about VF for the class so its overall condition is better than average. To a keen collector it should be worth around £50.
