Victorian half sovereign

Nick Moulson asked for a valuation on the Victorian half sovereign pictured here. The coin is dated 1885 on the obverse and was struck at the Royal Mint in London.

Valuation

This half sovereign hasn’t much circulation wear but the obverse is badly scuffed and scratched. Ii isn’t a scarce date or type and in its present condition it would only be worth its weight in gold, which at the moment would be around £185. The best price might come from a bullion dealer, who would work on a lower profit margin than a coin dealer.
