Penny of Henry III
Steve Bartlett asked for a full ID and a valuation on this coin in order to pass on the information to the owner of the land on which it was found.
The coin turned up in Cumbria and is a class 5b2 voided long cross penny of Henry III. On the reverse the legend reads DAV ION LVN DEN (with some ligation) so the moneyer is Davi and the mint London.
Valuation
This penny is well struck and would grade slightly better than Fine so to a collector it would be worth around £30.
