Roman gold leaf ornament

A 4th century fragment of a gold leaf ornament. Similar objects have been found at sites of votive offerings, such as the Uley shrine. It has been designated a Find of Note and is going through the Treasure process.

19th century printing plate

A complete copper alloy printing plate dating to the 19th century. These types of plates were used until the second half of the 20th century. This one provides information on postal rates for letters and parcels.

Rhuddlan mint penny

This is only the second Rhuddlan penny to be recorded in Staffordshire and so has been designated a Find of Note: County Importance. The story of this mint is in my article on a reader’s find: Rhuddlan mint copy of Henry II penny.
