Edward IV penny forgery
This rather crude forgery is similar in appearance to coins of the Queenhithe hoard. In February 1980, a hoard of 495 similar forgeries was found near Queenhithe Dock, London.
Roman flower shaped brooch
A copper alloy brooch, inlaid with red and blue enamel, dating to AD 80 – 250. It is thought to have been a continental import and has been designated a Find of Note: County importance.
Gunter’s chain talley
A chain measuring 22 yards and divided into 100 links was designed by English clergyman Edmund Gunter in 1620 to accurately measure land. A tag was attached at every 10 links. The three points of this tag indicate that it was the marker for 30 links.
