Hosker Haynes first auction

Hosker Haynes first auction

Hosker Haynes Auctioneers Limited is a new company founded by Martin Roberts (AMR Coins, based in Leeds) and Glen Miller (GM Coins). Their first auction was held in London on 28 March 2023. This included Part One of a collection of Anglo-Saxon coins, some outstanding hammered gold and silver from William I to Charles I and a good selection of early and later milled coins. The profusely illustrated catalogue can be viewed on line at www.hoskerhaynes.com or if you prefer, the pdf version of Hosker Haynes Auction 1.

The results were something of a mixed bag with several beating their estimates while other high profile lots failed to sell.

There is a buyer’s premium of 20% (plus VAT) on the hammer price.
