Henry III long cross penny
When you look at this coin you might say “Not another Henry III long cross penny!” A number of similar finds have appeared on the website but they are hammered silver coins and all detectorists like digging them up.
The latest specimen came in from Damian Mcgovern. On the reverse the legend reads +NIC OLE ONL VND, so Nicole is the moneyer and London the mint.
Valuation
The overall condition is better than Fine but weak areas leave it difficult to pin down. However, the likeliest candidate is voided long cross class 3b. In its present condition my price range would be £22 – £25.
