Help DeskValuations

Halfgroat of Charles I

Geoff Morris asked if I could provide an ID and a valuation on this hammered silver coin, which is 15mm in diameter.
The coin is very worn and not much detail shows up. However, on the obverse a few letters of CAROLVS can be seen, so it was struck during the reign of Charles I. On the reverse is an oval shield and this, together with its size, tells me it is a halfgroat.

Valuation

Due to its overall condition my highest price estimate would be £5-6.
