Groat of Edward III
The detectorist who unearthed this hammered silver coin wished to remain anonymous. It’s a groat of Edward III and the finder requested a valuation.
The coin was struck at London during the fourth coinage, pre-treaty period and is an example of series C. It the Standard Catalogue it is listed as number 1565.  Â
Valuation
This groat has been struck on a large well spread flan and overall it would grade about VF. To a collector it should be worth £150.
