Farthing of Edward I
This is another coin from the collection of detecting finds built up by John Lashmar. It looks large but it is a tiny farthing of Edward I.
On the obverse the bust of the king reaches to the edge of the coin and the accompanying legend read E R ANGLIE. On the reverse the legend reads LON DON IEN SIS. Â All this adds up to the coin being a London farthing of class 3g.
Valuation
The coin would grade about VF and my price range would be £60 – £70.
