Help DeskValuations

Elizabeth I penny

Steve Bartlett asked for a valuation on this Elizabethan coin in order to pass on a figure to a landowner.

The coin is 14mm in diameter so it is a penny. The mint mark is a woolsack on both sides, which dates the coin to 1594-96.

Valuation

This isn’t a rarity but it is in better condition than usual for a detecting find and to a collector the price range would be £25-30.
