Edward III half groat
This hammered silver coin is the second from a large batch that came in from Tony Hollis to be identified and valued.
The coin is a London halfgroat of Edward III. It was struck during series E of the fourth coinage of the pre treaty period. In the Standard Catalogue halfgroats of this type are listed as number 1576. Â Â Â Â
Valuation
The reverse has been struck off centre but the coin is otherwise in Fine to good Fine condition and should be worth £35 – £40
