Class 10c-f penny of Edward I

This hammered silver coin was found by John Lashmar, who asked for it to be identified and valued.

The coin is a class 10c-f penny of Edward I. On the obverse the mint mark is a cross moline and on the reverse the legend reads CIVI TAS DVR EME. Therefore, this penny was struck at Durham for the profit of Bishop Antony Bek.

Valuation

There are some light scratches on the reverse but this penny is otherwise in about VF condition, which is better than usual for the type. My price range on it would be £35-40.
