Anglo-Saxon pin
This is another find sent in by Mike Ruczynski and is similar to the last one, in that it was unearthed during the 1990s and recorded on the PAS database. It’s another Anglo-Saxon find but a silver pin head rather than a mount.
At its longest point this find is 23mm long. The head has quite attractive decoration on all the faces and is in very good condition. However, as it stands it is a pin head with only a short section of the original shaft.
Valuation
This find still has some eye appeal but as it is now just the op section of something that was originally much larger I my price range would be £30 to £40 at best.
