London groat of Henry VIII

Peter Vernon asked for a valuation on this coin in order to pass on a figure to a land owner.

The coin is a second coinage London groat of Henry VIII. On the obverse is a profile portrait of the king and on both sides the mint mark is a rose. Groats of this type aren’t particularly scarce but they have always been very popular with collectors.

Valuation

On this groat there is a faint scratch behind the king’s hair but the coin is otherwise in VF condition with some eye appeal. As it stands, my price range would be £220-250.
