Threepence piece of Charles II
Steve Bartlett said the coin pictured here was unearthed on the 10th of September. I was asked to provide a valuation figure, which would be passed on to a landowner.
The coin is an early milled threepence piece of Charles II. In the centre of the reverse three Cs have been joined together to indicate the face value and the legend tells you that the coin dates from 1683.
Valuation
The obverse would grade nearly Fine but the reverse is better. In its present condition my price range on this early milled threepence would be £15-20.
