Edward IV Ryal

Edward IV light coinage Ryal with mintmark sun on the reverse. E on flag at stern and B in the waves below to indicate Bristol mint. Bristol was one of the most important of the new provincial mints but the output was still small compared to London. The earliest coins of Bristol have the sun mint mark and are less common than the later crown mint mark.
