Farthing of Richard II

The finder of this coin wished to remain anonymous but asked for a valuation to pass on to a landowner.

On the obverse is the head (no shoulders) of the king and a legend reading +RICARD REX ANGL, which is punctuated by colons.  On the reverse the legend reads CIVI TAS LOn DOn. All this adds up to the coin being a farthing (10mm in diameter) of Richard II, which the finder had identified as number 1703 in the Standard Catalogue.

Valuation

There is some weakness on the reverse but the coin is otherwise in about VF condition and the colon stops are rare for the type. My price range would be £280-350.
