Edward IV Ryal restored
Our Find of the Week last week was this Gold ryal of Edward IV which as you can see is badly bent.
It’s strange how the hobby of detecting throws up coincidences as another damaged ryal of Edward IV was recorded at the PAS ( LIN-36705A) this week. It was found in East Lindsey, Lincolnshire on 25 February 2023. From the picture above, you can see that this one was even more crumpled and had a tear. Here is that coin before and after restoration:
