Edward I, penny
This is the first of two coins that came in from John Garner on the 2nd of September. John saw it for the first time a few days back, and it will be available to view on the website on the 3rd of September.
The coin is a decent looking London penny of Edward I. On the obverse the legend starts with EDWAR R, so this penny is an example of class 10ab.
Valuation
John’s coin would grade about VF but isn’t particularly scarce. To a collector it would be worth up to £35.
