Sixpence of Elizabeth I
Steve Bartlett said this coin was discovered on a new permission in Cumbria. A valuation was requested, in order to pass on a figure to the owner of the land on which it was found.
The coin is a hammered coinage sixpence of Elizabeth I. It is dated 1570 on the reverse and on both sides the mint mark is a coronet.
Valuation
The obverse would grade Fine, the reverse good Fine and in its present condition it would be worth around £60 to a collector.
