The Archers features discovery of coins

My wife follows The Archers on BBC radio. A recent storyline relates to the discovery of a cache of coins on someone’s land. Some research must have gone into this, for there was mention of Treasure and something about a local FLO. I don’t listen to The Archers but when I asked my wife if the finder of the coins had been using a metal detector she said she didn’t think so. Even if the finder wasn’t a detectorist it just goes to show that the discovery of buried treasure can stir the interest of the public in general, even in a long-running series on BBC radio
