Roman brooch of a lion

A copper alloy brooch of a lion dating to AD 200 – 300, with some blue enamel remaining. The PAS records notes that the spring fastening suggests British manufacture but the confident modelling suggests that the author had seen a real lion. Hence, a Find of Note of County Importance.
