Description

The Primrose League was founded in 1883 and was named after the favourite flower of Benjamin Disraeli, who had died two years earlier. It’s aim was to promote Toryism and had a cross-class membership that at it’s height at the start of the 20th century reached over 2 million. It was wound up in 2004.
