Description

The ring reads MARY MORICE OB 28 OCT 1729 CET 31. As the PAS record suggests, this is probably Mary Morice, daughter of Bishop of Rochester, best known for being the instigator of the ‘Atterbury Plot’ in 1721. It is considered a Find of Note of National Importance and if it had been found after July 30th, probably qualifies as Treasure under the new rules.
