Description

A copper alloy stirrup dating to c. AD 1000 – 1100. The design includes a human face with a broad nose, slight smirk, globular eyes and a distinct hairstyle. Along the outer frame are double headed beasts. It has been designated a Find of Note: Regional Importance.
