Photo: The Portable Antiquities Scheme CC By SA2.0
Object type: Buckle
Period: Anglo-Saxon
Primary material: Copper alloy
Date found: 21/06/2022
Location: Vale of Gamorgan

The dating of the object is reasonably certain and its style is similar to other Irish buckles on the PAS database. However, it is a bit of a mystery as it appears to have intact edges, with nowhere for the attachment of the pin and frame. It is a Find of Note of Regional Importance.
