Description

A gold and copper alloy mourning ring dating from 1829. On the outer face in gothic script: “IN MEMORY OF” and on the inner face in italic lettering “B C Coates Ob’ 9 Feb’ 1829 a’ 48”. Mourning rings were produced for friends and family of the deceased.Â
