17th century posy ring

This gold ring has been dated by the style of lettering to the 17th to mid 18th century and therefore is being considered as Treasure. A fairly ordinary ring but I selected it for its rather curious inscription, which doesn’t seem to mean much; the inside reads “my affection is my affection“.
